The Third Annual Paideia:  A Conference for

Undergraduate and

Graduate Research and Scholarship

 

Call for Papers

Paideia (pi-DAY-uh): the classical Greek education of liberal
learning, which was believed to develop the intellectual, moral
and aesthetic capacities.

Christopher Newport University invites undergraduate and graduate students to submit abstracts for
its annual conference dedicated to fostering undergraduate and graduate research and scholarship in all
disciplines and institutions.  See http://www.cnu.edu/research/03/sched.html for the proceedings of Paideia
2003.

SUBMISSIONS ARE DUE BY 26 MARCH 2004
and all submissions must be approved by a faculty sponsor.  The
conference takes place 16 - 17 April 2004 at Christopher Newport University. Students not submitting papers
are also encouraged to attend.

How to Submit Your Research:

Submissions must include the following information, and research to be presented must have been undertaken
while the author was an undergraduate or graduate student (even if the author has subsequently graduated).
Submissions that do not include this information may not be reviewed.
  1. Name of Student Presenter
  2. Contact Information (email and phone number) for Student Presenter
  3. Title of Presentation
  4. Names of Collaborators (if any)
  5. Name of Faculty Sponsor
  6. Contact Information (email and phone number) for Faculty Sponsor
  7. Indicate the equipment you need for your presentation (overhead projector, PowerPoint, etc.)
  8. Abstract (no more than 300 words).  See http://www.cnu.edu/research/instructions.html for guidelines
    . (Abstracts which do not conform to these guidelines will not get accepted for presentation.)
