Scholarship
Call for Papers

Paideia (pi-DAY-uh): the classical Greek education of liberal learning, which
was
believed to develop the intellectual, moral and aesthetic capacities.
Christopher Newport University invites undergraduate and graduate
students
to submit abstracts for its second annual research conference, dedicated
to fostering
undergraduate and graduate research in all disciplines.
Submissions are due on or before March 28, 2003, and all submissions must be approved by a faculty sponsor. The conference takes place
April
25-26, 2003 at Christopher Newport University. Students not submitting
papers are also
encouraged to attend.
How to Submit Your Research:
Submission must included the following information, and research to be presented
must have undertaken while the author was an undergraduate or graduate student
(
even if the auther has subsequently graduated). Submissions that do not include
this
information may not be reviewed.
1. Name of Student Presenter
2. Contact Information (email and phone number) for Student Presenter
3. Title of Presentation
4. Names of Collaborators (if any)
5. Name of Faculty Sponsor
6. Contact Information (email and phone number) for Faculty Sponsor
7. Abstract (no more than 300 words)
8. Indicate the equipment you need for your presentation (overhead, PowerPoint)
