The mission of the Undergraduate and Graduate Research Council at Christopher Newport University is to promote a learning community in which faculty and students in various disciplines come together to share in research and scholarship activities.  We are committed to continuing student-faculty interaction and learning beyond the classroom, and we believe that students actively collaborating with faculty in the quest for new knowledge represents the most powerful teaching our university can offer.  To this end, the UGRC is committed to enhancing and promoting student research, highlighting successful student-faculty research and scholarship, and making information about these successes available to the university and the larger community.
